How it all began
We are based in Salzhausen near Hamburg, south of the Elbe. We are of course passionate anglers and in 2020 we came up with the idea of producing our own rod protector.
The triggers were, on the one hand, scratched blanks during transport in the car (you can never have enough rods and there are no rod bags that big), as well as the search for a rod protector for careful storage on the boat.
The offers on the market were confusing: the size information (if available) was usually feet or inches for casting socks and there was hardly any offer for spinning rods and if there was, it didn't fit. So why not offer something yourself?
Cool protection for fishing equipment
We were driven by our own need to protect rods and reels that were becoming increasingly high-quality and sensitive.
From the Elbe to the Müritz
The most beautiful fishing areas are right on our doorstep, and we prefer to go by boat: on the Elbe in Hamburg harbor, the Müritz and the Kölpinsee and sometimes also to the Bodden.
Our new brand "PHEIL"
Unfortunately, the name rod sock cannot be protected as a generic term. In order to have the opportunity to appear under a uniform brand in the future and to bring new products to market for the protection and organization of fishing equipment, we have created the brand PHEIL . PHEIL is derived from ? P etri Heil ?.
Meet the team
