story
How it all began
We're based in Salzhausen, near Hamburg, in the south of the Elbe River. We're passionate anglers, of course, and in 2020 we came up with the idea of producing our own rod protectors. The coronavirus pandemic was really taking hold at that time, and this was a way to combat the potential boredom of being confined to our homes.
The triggers were, firstly, scratched blanks during transport in the car (you can never have enough rods and rod bags that big don't exist), and secondly, the search for rod protection for gentle storage on the boat.

Cool protection for fishing equipment
We were driven by our own need to protect rods and reels that were becoming increasingly high-quality and sensitive.
The portfolio is continuously being expanded.

Our new brand "PHEIL"
Unfortunately, the generic term "Rutensocke" (rod sock) cannot be trademarked. To enable us to operate under a unified brand in the future and launch new products for protecting and organizing fishing equipment, we have registered the trademark PHEIL . PHEIL is derived from...?
Petri Heil .

From the Elbe to the Müritz
The most beautiful fishing areas are right on our doorstep, and we prefer to go by boat: on the Elbe in Hamburg harbor, the Müritz and the Kölpinsee and sometimes also to the Bodden.
